Downy mildews - Impatiens

Downy mildews – Impatiens, etc.

Downy mildew diseases affect many different plants, including impatiens, rose and phlox.

Key Points:

  • Downy mildew infected plants often have angular yellow leaf spotting on the upper surface of infected leaves. Infected leaves may become distorted and infected plants may defoliate.
  • Downy mildew sporulation often appears on the underside of leaves.
  • The disease rapidly spreads under cool, wet conditions.
